2014 Joan Nicoll Riedl Book Award Winner

Justin Lawrence

This year's Riedl Book Award winner, Justin Lawrence, impresses his professors with his intellectual curiosity, academic abilities, and genuine kindness. Justin has maintained a very high GPA while pursuing a double major in Religious Studies and Asian Studies. As an honors student in Religious Studies he will write a thesis next year on religion and modernity in Japan. He has been learning Japanese for two years and plans to study abroad in Japan this summer. Justin's academic accomplishments and passion for Religious Studies make him a deserving recipient of the Riedl Book Award.
