RS Honors Student and RSA President Taylor Thomas: Jerusalem, March 2016
During the spring of 2016, Taylor Thomas traveled to Jerusalem, Israel to meet Dr. Erin Darby (UT assistant professor of Early Judaism) at the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research. While in Israel, Taylor worked on her senior honors thesis in the research library at the Albright Institute, visited archaeological sites, likes Lachish, Masada, Qumran, Megiddo, and Tel Qasile, toured museums and graduate schools, spent time networking with junior and senior research fellows, and met a broad range of people from across East and West Jerusalem. Alumna, Lily Dropkin (2015), even stopped in for a visit.
Many thanks to the Department of Religious Studies, the Fern and Manfred Steinfeld Program in Judaic Studies, the Honors and Scholars Program, and the UT Ready for the World Initiative for supporting Taylor's trip.
