2016 Joan Nicoll Riedl Book Award Winner

Landry Austin, the 2016 Joan Riedl Book Award recipient, is a junior Religious Studies major and Art History minor with an interest in religion and art in East Asia. She received an Undergraduate Summer Research Internship in 2015 to work with Dr. Megan Bryson on the project "Preserving China's Fading Past: Digitizing and Indexing Rare Recordings of Religion in Rural Yunnan Province." Landry presented the project's findings at the 2015 Discovery Day poster session. In her senior year, Landry plans to write an Honor's thesis and apply to graduate programs in Museum Studies, Religious Studies, or Art History.
